Foster Love is the Families Advocate Ministry of Wynnbrook Baptist Church aimed at supporting vulnerable children, foster families, and families in crisis. Guided by James 1:27, the ministry equips the congregation to be the hands and feet of Jesus, believing that everyone can make a difference.
“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans… in their distress.” — James 1:27
Foster Love offers tangible support to strengthen families, including:
- Family Care Communities: Teams providing prayer, meals, and practical support to prevent burnout.
- CarePortal Network: Responding to urgent needs identified by local child welfare workers.
- Material Support: Organizing and distributing essential items.
- Appreciation Events: Honoring local foster families.
- Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home: Visiting this residential girls' home monthly to share the love of Christ by studying the Bible, crafts, sharing a meal, and other interactive connections.
- Families Count is a platform that ministers to and walks with broken families to help them be restored and preserved. We host a 7-week biblically-based parenting class that focuses on family strengths and purpose.

In Scripture, God calls us to put the lonely in families and to take care of the fatherless. We strive to cultivate a church community where every foster, adoptive, and kinship family is wrapped in sustainable biblical support, ensuring that no vulnerable child or caregiver in the Columbus area walks alone.
The Foster Love Ministry exists to glorify God by raising awareness, recruiting caregivers, and mobilizing dedicated care communities to wrap around vulnerable children and foster families through the love, hope, and practical service of Jesus Christ.
We partner with other Christ-centered churches and non-profits throughout the Chattahoochee Valley to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families through gospel-centered support and creative experiences.
